Despite the variety of colors, most of the 435 members of the House of Representatives identify themselves as Christian, with the biggest group being Catholic. However, there are 31 different religious affiliations listed by members of Congress. In a nation founded on the principle of freedom, including freedom of religion, a representative's faith shouldn't matter as much as whether they adhere to the principle of separation of church and state.
