Flashback time for me. I had a tiny baby spider hatchling drop down near the driver-side window on the inside of my car yesterday while I was driving. Imagine having a major freakout, while still being a responsible driver. Biggest challenge of my life was staying focused and calmly parking my car so I could scoop it in a cup and let it out of the car. It was hovering right above my shoulder for way too long. Not an easy task, and I still do the creeped out dance thinking about it.

I install and maintain this type of outdoor camera for TV stations. This happens a lot because the cameras are in waterproof housings which have an overhang over the little window. They have little wipers/washers but the wipers just stretch the web, causing the spider to get busy fixing it. One camera was so bad we added insecticide to the washer fluid reservoir.

If she had known that, she would have taken the rain OUT of the forecast!

Aw, the spider was just scared, because the weather lady forecasted rain, and the spider remembered the Itsy Bitsy Spider song, which contains the line "Down came the rain and washed the spider out."
