The Walking Dead In Cross Stitch

We've seen plenty of great cross stitch on Neatorama, but I don't think I ever seen a cross stitch that looks as amazingly detailed as this totally intricate Walking Dead one. Cross Stitch Ninja must have spent a lot of time making this.

At first I thought this was embroidery given the subtle shading, but looking at the enlarged photo, it does appear to be cross-stitch. This must either be a very large piece or very tiny stitches. Would like to know more about the piece.
