Tweet Powered Tornado

The Weather Channel's stunt for Tornado Week is a Twitter-powered tornado that blows air on their poor interns on camera. Tweets with their hashtag will increase the force of the wind.

There are currently two poor, poor (probably unpaid) interns who are getting blasted with air while chatting on a laptop and scribbling hellos and welcomes to people who tweet at them, all for our amusement. DANCE MONKEYS. The #TornadoWeek tweets are currently in the low 3,000s, but when that number hits 1,000,000, Yellow Blouse and Guy with Glasses will be hit with 261–318 MPH wind, and then I won’t be able to write my erotica about them anymore.

After this week, these two will probably rethink their goal of working in TV. Or weather. Link

the "weather" channel is the new MTV. I remember during their Hurricane Issac coverage from New Orleans Jim Cantore and Al Roker would be fighting to stand up against the powerful wind and rain then someone would walk past in the background with hardly any trouble at all, they're all about ratings not about weather.
