Children of the 80s, here's a depressing news: Ralph Macchio is now the same age as Pat Morita was when the movie The Karate Kid was released (back in 1984). Feeling old yet?

Just to point out though, Pat Morita was playing about a decade older than he was. And Ralph Maccio was playing 5 years younger than he was. So Daniel-san won't have reached Mr. Miyagi's age until 2028!

Macchio won my heart in both "The Karate Kid" and "Crossroads". Kind of lost interest when he (and everybody else) milked the Kid franchise to death. "Crossroads" is a Love It/Hate It movie but well worth watching as it ages quite well.
