The recipes that come with it work wonderfully as long as you learn three things:
1. Use cheap, bulk ingredients designed for breads. Fancy flours and yeasts do strange things.
2. Measure the yeast with precision. Adjust to alter the amount of rise.
3. Learn what a the loaf should look like after the first kneading. Add or reduce water so that it is a single, slightly sticky ball.
