Last Saturday, hundreds of people in San Francisco took part in a romantic geocaching event. One hundred love letters were attached to balloons, bottles, and other objects and hidden around the Mission District. Participants found clues to their location at "lost letter outposts," with further information coming in via QR codes and smartphones. The hidden letters were based on real love letters from all over. You can follow the "lost letter outposts" at the website to see how the adventure was carried out. The hunt was a promotion to introduce Olga Nunes' new album LAMP. Link

Is it geocaching if you don't use a GPS to find the item?
