If the thought of going to the dentist filled your head with dread, this may help: a dental drill that plays music! An Indonesian dentist came up with the musical drill to help anxious kids:
Dhanni Gustiana, a dental surgeon from Purworejo in Central Java, has modified a conventional dental drill by changing the buzzing sound to the music from a MP3 player.
"The children are not afraid of doctor, many of them are afraid of drill. I modified this by putting a toy on the head of the drill and telling them that the toy will clean their teeth," said Gustiana.
