Things are mighty scary in these United States, and the scary varies from state to state.

These aren't made up critters that go bump in the night though, these are real things that everyone should be scared of, like hurricanes and killer bees, zombie Lincoln and cheese heads?!

There are plenty more scary things than heights in Arizona - rattlesnakes, scorpions, Snow Bird's driving skills, gun lobbyists, and Joe Arpaio.

Agree with the above commenters. Also, no one in Vermont is "afraid" of Champ nor are those who visit the state. What Vermonters truly fear are the rarest of Americans: the hippie gun nut.

New Hampshire has Zombie Robert Frost? What they most fear is income tax. Zombie Robert Frost is a silly throwaway.

Also, if you're bringing up how scary Red Sox fans are - why are we ignoring how terrible Yankees fans are? They even boo their own team! Son of Sam...really?

Umm in NC it's Copperhead Snakes that are the big danger. Not Rattlesnakes.
