Fresco Destroyer Wants Royalties

Just when you thought the news of the botched fresco meme finally reached an end, Cecilia Gimenez, the woman who "restored" the painting has now approached the church that houses the fresco and demanded that they pay her royalties for the work. To be fair, more tourists have come to the church as a result of her destruction, but then again, how many of the donations have actually been made in the hopes that the church will be able to pay a real artist to fix the artwork?

Well, technically, her work is subject to copyright, but she still shouldn't be getting money from the church..... she would rather have to pay for professional restauration.
Just imagine herds of maraudering copy-cats, attacking frescos and other pieces of art around the world....
(However she deserves a share from all the t-shirts, posters and stuff... )

She deserves to be thrown in jail or a mental institution. Obviously she's delusional. Or perhaps someone should take the liberty of restoring her brain faculties, with a rusty spoon, without asking her for permission. I bet her next-door neighbor can do a great job of it.

They should balance it out, charge her for the damages done to the original work that was church property, and then pay her for her copyright claim in an equal amount to the damages they're asking.
