Pedro Ureta's wife Graciela liked the idea of planting an enormous image on their property that could be seen from above. But they were busy and put off the project until later. Then, in 1977, Graciela died suddenly.
To honor her wish, Ureta then set about planting and cultivating trees in the shape of a guitar two-thirds of a mile long:
He settled on the design because his late wife loved the instrument and he wanted to memorialize her on his land.
Working tirelessly to plant and cultivate the trees, Ureta created a perfect guitar shape, complete with a star-shaped hole in the middle. Using mostly cypress trees to form the outline, Ureta used blue eucalyptus trees to accent the strings on the neck of the guitar. Easily visible from airplanes, the guitar brings joy to many who fly over the Pampas.

The labour of love has now blossomed into a mature meadow - a peaceful oasis where Winston can sit and remember his wife of 33 years.
His meadow cannot be seen from the road and has remained a family secret until a hot air balloonist took this photograph from the air.
