Less than six years ago, the world's largest burger was just 78.5 pounds. But the march of progress has been fast. The Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, Minnesota recently made one that weighs 2,014 pounds:
The burger measured 10 feet in diameter and was topped with 60 pounds of bacon, 50 pounds of lettuce, 50 pounds of sliced onions, 40 pounds of pickles and 40 pounds of cheese, according to the newspaper.
The resort hasn't set a price yet, but you'll be able to get it with fries and a soda as part of a meal deal.
At the current rate of growth, in eight years, we should have a hamburger that weighs as much as the Statue of Liberty.
