I don't know anyone who still watches the Simpsons, and the quotes form the shows have disappeared from conversation entirely. I was an avid fan, even recorded many epsiodes (the show does go back to the days of VCRs, after all). I stopped a few years ago when it took the turn to the political left and simply became too preachy.

I'll always like the Simpsons way more than boring, tired superhero comics. Underground comics (comix) on the otherhand, I'll gladly devour. Gimme lots of Crumb, Clowes, Bagge, Hensley, Ware, Tomaine, lots of unknowns, etc. any day.

@Durango--I follow that. My favorite comic book series is Ninja High School. Well, that's not really an underground comic, but it is small press.
