Cardboard Children's Furniture

Japanese company Tsuchinoco produces whimsical children's furniture made out of corrugated cardboard panels, perfect for the playroom of a kid who's a bit rough on the furniture.

Their furniture kind of looks like a three day weekend DIY project, or something that belongs on the shelves at IKEA, but the fun shapes and rough edged style make these pieces simply delightful.

What a great idea! I don't think the roughness of the cardboard would be a massive problem, as all the bits children climb through seem to be made from a smoother type of card. It certainly makes for some very creative furniture!

That's some Character Building furniture there... "Mommy, my hands are bleeding!" "Yeah, cardboard'll do that. Don't get blood on the carpets."

I've had a number of painful papercuts dealing with cardboard boxes as a warehouse employee. I can't see how cardboard furniture for children is a good idea.
