The London We All Wish For

Admit it, if you've never been to London, you secretly wish it was just like this picture. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed when I went and saw that it was filled with a bunch of fashion snobs and that there no wizards, time travelers or flying nannies.

Where's the barrage balloons? Where's the old Roman roads? Where's the hot goths? Where's the giant blancmonge?

When I was in London not a single person told me a joke about Germans. I felt like the trip was wasted.

I think they forgot to add Zeppelin clad in Dark Age attire and the Boosh gang. That is the London I'd like to see.

Yeah but on the flip side : when I travelled from England to New York I was disappointed to find that everyone I met was friendly and helpful. Not at all like the movies!

I've met plenty of tourists who expect London to be something like that. Including all the things in that image that weren't actually set in London.
