Not quite the Titanic, but this oops probably means that someone's getting fired:
LinkCaptain Guo Lai, at the helm of the Pearl No 7 line in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, eastern China, also reportedly failed to take account of the fact that the £28 million ship - 518ft long and 98ft wide - was sitting higher on the water because there were no passengers or cargo on board.
(What a neat word allided is. I've got a lot of time at sea and never heard it before. That's a good thing in retrospect. Have always been interested in nautical terminology.)
