Dogs lift their front paws when stressed or nervous - and yawn in the same situation too. They do this to try and release the stress they are feeling. Definitely not a sign of dominance, more one of submission if anything.

Dominance behavior? Erm... I'm gonna have to disagree. Looks more like the dog just doesn't enjoy riding in the car (hence the constant yawning)

That's a dominance behavior on the dogs part. It's the dog telling the owner "I'm in charge here." sorry to burst everyone's bubble.
