Daddy Frog and His Baby Frogs



Oreophryne frogs don't have a tadpole stage. The babies develop while still inside their eggs. Meanwhile, the father guards the clutch at night and keeps his kids safe from predators.

The best thing to come out of posting this picture was showing it to my three-year old. She said, "Daddy frog loves his babies and keeps them safe. My Daddy loves me and keeps me safe."
