Surely you recall the campaign slogan, "Ma, Ma, Where’s my Pa?" James G. Blaine used it when he ran against Grover Cleveland in 1884. However, Cleveland won that race, with his own negative but catchy rhyming slogan that also made the list. After the election was over, Blaine's campaign slogan was amended in the popular press as "Ma, Ma, Where’s my Pa? Gone to the White House, Ha, Ha, Ha."
