Good Samaritan Helped a Woman Who Just Flipped Her Off

Kristyn Dominy, 22, was driving home when a woman driving a beat-up jeep blew past her, flipping her off.

The jeep continued to weave in and out of traffic ... Then instant karma struck: the jeep caught on fire!

One would understand if Kristyn, who were just flipped off by the Jeep driver, would drive on by, but - in a move that reaffirmed my belief in humanity - she pulled over to help:

Dominy saw the woman was struggling to get her little girl out of her car, but that the 5-year-old was stuck in the seatbelt.

“I pulled over as fast as I could,” Dominy said. “The back of the mom’s hair was on fire and her clothes were on fire a little bit, but I don’t think she realized it because she was freaking out so much.”

When Dominy and the woman were able to get the child out of the car, the little girl’s clothes were on fire so Dominy said she had her get on the ground and roll around to put the flames out.

Kristyn waited for the ambulance, and the mother and her daugher were rushed to the hospital. The woman was treated and released, but never expressed her thanks (some people!): Link - via GOOD

A corroded wiring harness could cause fire. Or maybe she got one of those GMs with the piston-knock.

Karma is cause and effect.

Maybe this woman had issues with mood-regulation.

I just had a similar experience. I had a guy flip me off as he passed me because I was driving too slow for his taste. (We had just received about 6" of snow) not 5 seconds later he hooked his tire in the snow berm and crashed into the center median throwing snow everywhere.
I didn't stop. There were other people behind me that did. Felt like instant karma for sure.

No apology? No thank you? No problem. Acts of kindness are not done because the person expects a "thank you", a pat on the back, a reward or any other sort of recognition. Acts of kindness are done because the person is reaffirming the goodness of her/himself and doing what any humane person would do. **Someone needs help - can I help - yes, okay, I will.**
The lady did the right thing to help the woman and her child. She will be 'rewarded' somehow, someway, someday. Karma is like that. You never know when you (or someone you love) will need some help and then - tada! - here it is!
Thank you, Ms Dominy, for being such a special, caring person.

Whoa, Winslow, lay off the psychedelics.

So a car crashes and thereare people her who wouldn't help because the driver was rude? Would someone actually drive by and allow another person to die just for that reason alone?

Wow. Good for that woman, but I'm shocked that some people could be so callous.

I'm with RD, & @Stan LOL!, A little curios? ...the rest of it, WOW & ...stuff.
I'm sure we are all aware of the fact that "Samaritans" were then, such a culture to be avoided. There was a lot of tension there between Jews and Samaritans So that the the story about the "ONE GOOD" one was what made the whole story mean something to someone. So although admonishment is indeed deserved for this story, (if true) and yeah/meh... it's "neat" so OK to be here ...right?
The source, however, which I just visited also touts, a Chinese bachelor looking for love, an Astrologer and a Mormon lifestyle blogger seemingly? ...asking why there are so many mormon lifestyle bloggers
So I'm not convinced this event ever even happened. Pe@ce.

Don't any of you wonder how the Jeep caught on fire? It burst into flames enough to give the kid in the back seat severe burns! Was the child playing with flares? Good grief!

Yadda yadda, the lady is a good human for stopping to help. :)

I would be so overwhelmed with anger and would instantly think about driving by, but then I would be no better than that horrible woman who was on fire. Yes, I think she did the right thing by helping. But I would have said " thanks for flipping me off" to her face then walked away. I too feel sorry for the child being raised by someone like that. Good to know that there are decent people in the world. Well done.

Amazing - good for Ms. Dominy!! Especially with a child in the car, the behavior is unexcuseable, and I'm glad there was someone else there to be a good role model for that kid.

I prefer to HOPE this woman was just having a real bad day & maybe after the fire she was in shock & not thinking straight.

I'm willing to wait a day or two to see if she'll reach out to thank the woman who saved her child & herself.

If she doesn't, I feel sorry for her little girl who will grow up with such a classless mother.

Kristyn is a wonderful young woman! A real heroine.

Bravo! The child was innocent and in any case it was absolutely the right thing to do. No matter she never thanked anyone, she has to live with her conscience and Ms Dominy with hers.
