If I understand it correctly, this 1972 Dodge van was used by the Melvins, a grunge band that has been active since 1983. In the days before his commercial success, Kurt Cobain had a relationship with this band and drew the KISS logo on the side with markers that he shoplifted from a grocery store in Montesano, Washington. So, obviously, this van is of tremendous artistic and musical significance. Also: a hot ride. It sold on eBay today for $99,999.99.

Unfortunately it didn't meet its reserve so it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. I wish I had that kind of cash to spend on it! Melvins are great.

It's Montesano, WA - not California. Montesano is a town approx 11 miles east of Kurt's hometown of Aberdeen.
