A crew working for Istueta Roofing in Miami, Florida tore up an old tile roof. Below it, they found thousands of bats. It's a good thing that the roofers didn't try this in Gotham City.
I'm with Jolly! The roofers in the vid are clearly incompetent plus they don't know that you need to stop disturbing the bat colony when you find it and call in the experts.
@BR I know several people who have bats roosting in their roof or eaves and none of them have a problem with odor. It's quite common in older properties hereabouts. The only problem people have is that most bats are protected species and therefore can't be disturbed by law in this country. As such if you need to do any work on your roof you have to see if you can get the bats rehomed by experts and that can cost quite a bit. Sometimes rehoming the bats isn't an option.
The real problem for the people in the video is not the bats, it's the roofers. These guys clearly have no idea how you go about removing tiles. Repairing the damage caused by those contractors will cost much more than getting in a competent roofer in the first place.
Don't see anywhere else to get in touch with you guys (I'm not on any of the social networking sites), so thought I'd post it here and maybe you'd read it.

Poor bats. Poor homeowner. Stupid roofers!

Also, all that dust under the tiles is probably batshit.
