Meet the newest critter at Perth's Zoo, a baby echidna. It's even known by an adorable/ugly name, as echidna babies are called "puggles." There are even more pictures over at the link.

Its coloring makes it look like it's in 3D and I'm not wearing 3D glasses. Very off-putting - but how could you not adore something called a puggle?

If you think that's adorable, you should see them waddle around. When you come across one in the bush, they curl into a ball and wait for you to go away. Sometimes they will actually quiver with fear. Adorable!
