A student at Tama Art University in Japan named Mayuko created a western font composed of leg hair (presumably not her own). It's not the easiest to read, but may well go down in typographical records as the strangest -at least the strangest font to actually be used commercially! Typeface is the shape/form/design of the characters, a font is merely the agent which makes printing of the typeface possible.
In digital what we call the file format, in (old school) printing, those steel blocks with the raised and mirrored character (an actual font!).
