Now wondering if I should remove my Dolly Parton/Drag Queen one. I don't intend it to be a dig at either and I doubt Parton minds DQs dressing up as her and I kinda like the outrageous over-the-topness of both, but not sure if it would be taken the wrong way.
I'd appreciate opinions about that, so I can decide if I should remove that one. My Elmo and OMG/Nyan cat seem inoffensive, I just wonder about the Dolly Parton one.

The lesson here is: When you launch an entire ad campaign devoted to whining about how butthurt you are over silly Halloween costumes, you turn yourself into more of a joke than the costumes could ever make you out to be.

Yep, there's no better way to let people know their place than to tell them their feelings and opinions are invalid.

There's certainly no better way to let people know that their feelings and opinions are not "more" valid than ours.

This is crazy, they do have a point, if you belittle and make fun of any culture you really are saying that they do not count. That the are and can be made fun of. So that is how you create bullies because we are saying as a people it is alright to turn any culture into a costume. And as always there is not costumes for whites. So they are not affected at all.

A: Don't mock my ethnic background. It hurts.

B: Get over it. Your feelings don't matter.
