Vespa in a Skate Park - Neatorama

I once considering buying a classic 150cc Vespa and trying to ride it from Barrow, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. It seemed like a fine challenge for that Italian icon. Thankfully, common sense (and a lack of money) intervened before I made any serious plans.

This video shows a riding challenge that is shorter, but still demanding. A man named Boulon treats his modern-style Vespa like a stunt bike and maneuvers it through a skate park in Marseilles, France.

It's definitely not a classic Vespa. But the video producer says that it's a Vespa. I can't tell for sure from the video itself.

If it feels familiar it's because it was inspired by the Venice Beach bowl. The marseill Le Prado bowl is considered among the best skating places in Europe. Many context and X-Games happened there.

I'm surprised nobody mentionned that "Boulon" (the name of the guy in the video) is the french for "Nut" (as in "bolt").

It *might* be a Piaggio (and they own the Vespa brand) but it isn't any Vespa model I've ever seen.

Barrow, Alaska? There are no roads out of Barrow. You would have had to drag that scooter across a couple of hundred miles of tundra to get to a road heading south.
