Mother Rescues Lion Cub

Wildlife photographer Jean-Francois Largot took a fascinating sequence of photographs of a lion cub rescue in Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve. The cub apparently slid part of the way down a cliff face.
Clinging on for dear life to the side of a vertical cliff, the tiny lion cub cries out pitifully for help.

His mother arrives at the edge of the precipice with three other lionesses and a male. The females start to clamber down together but turn back daunted by the sheer drop.

Eventually one single factor determines which of them will risk her life to save the youngster – motherly love.

Obviously wasn't a "vertical" cliff face. And since the whole thing reeks of "lets sell a newspaper" drama, it's impossible to tell how deep that giant ravine really was. Unless it was 20 meters or so, it's unlikely the feline cub would die sliding down a dirt embankment.

The Vonskippy guy: Why are haters and cynics like you exist? You doubt the world and everything in it because you doubt yourself. Maybe you never had a mother who helped or loved you when you were young. That's too bad.

And after all of that courage and unselfish risk of losing ones life, they are going to be destroyed by humans for a more or less no good reason what so ever.
