What a cool bit of history. I never knew old Blue Eyes was a crossword fan. I also do mine in ink, nothing like the feel of a good ball point pen writing on newsprint. One time I was doing a puzzle in the faculty lounge and a fellow teacher asked me what I did when I made a mistake. I calmly told her that I do not make any. You have to be arrogant once in a while.

A peek into the personality of FS. I have been a big fan of his since the early 60's and I also do crosswords in ink so I can relate. Fun to know about this. Thanks
