Recreating Recipes From The Simpsons

If you're a regular Simpsons viewer, then you already know that the show occasionally features some utterly disgusting foodstuffs. If you've ever wondered how to make a Tom Collins pot pie or some corn nog, then Warming Glow has you covered with a great list of horrendously disgusting recipes.

What Simpsons foods would you want to try? Personally, I'm curious about tomacco.

Okay... I know EXACTLY how you'd do the Tom Collins pie so that it would be very, very, very good. :) I just came up with the recipe, and out of the goodness of my heart, I am sharing it with everyone here.

Tom Collins Pie
(adapted from a grasshopper pie recipe)
(Enough calories to satisfy Homer Simpson!)

25 chocolate sandwich cookies
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups marshmallow creme
1/4 cup sloe gin
2T Limoncello (lemon liqueur)
2 cups whipping cream

Crush cookies and set aside 1/4 cup of crumbs. Place remaining crumbs in a medium bowl and mix in melted butter. Press mixture firmly into bottom and sides of a 9 inch springform pan.
In a large mixing bowl, whip together marshmallow creme, sloe gin, and lemon liqueur until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form, then fold into marshmallow mixture. Pour mixture into pan and sprinkle reserved cookie crumbs on top. Freeze at least 2 hours, until firm. Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Top with a maraschino cherry. You can also substitute all lemon liqueur for the sloe gin-- don't use regular gin, btw, because real sloe gin is also a liqueur. If you don't use sloe gin, top the pie with grated nutmeg.

Enjoy! Personally, I'm making this recipe SOON. :)
