Planters out of Old Light Bulbs

A how-to on turning a light bulb into a terrarium has been posted before, but if you haven't gotten started on the project yet 1-800-Recycling has a few amazing examples to use as inspiration. The one pictured above is like a portable little escape to Yosemite National Park.

I did this last year, still have moss growing in it. We also put moss into jars and they're growing some fascinating microscopic life. One of them has these tiny stalk-like plants, so small they're pretty well transparent.

Hmm the one in the picture there looks pretty neat. Others will probably rust very soon and then it's torture for my green darlings. :|
