Anyone who has ever owned a cat knows all they really want is a place to nap, food, a nice scratch post, things to play with and an occassional petting session (that had better be on their terms). That's why this comic is just so dead on.

Credit is right there on the image, it's not like it was cropped off or someone else took credit for it.
dogs are for people who want free affection without having to work for it, and have the feeling of "owning" the animal.
Big news, you don't "own" a pet. You're it's companion and you are responsible for it's well being since you took the decision to "have" it.
