Cracker Barrel Server Finds Ancestors on Wall at Restaurant

Photo link

Most of the time when you go to Cracker Barrel, you expect to find chicken fried steak and giant games of checkers... not your great-great-great grandmother. Sandra, a server at the Owensboro, Kentucky, store, was working and thinking about her recently deceased niece, Cammi Jo. She happened to glance up at one of the old-timey pictures decorating the wall and found Cammi Jo looking back at her. Struck by the uncanny resemblance, Sandra took a picture of the photo and sent it to her sister-in-law, Cammi Jo's mom. After some research, they discovered that Cammi Jo's lookalike - the woman holding the baby in the picture - was actually Sandra's great-great-great-great grandmother, and the baby was Sandra's great-great-great grandmother.

Cracker Barrel is working on getting the photo back to Sandra's family.

If I'm not mistaken, arent all the photos in all the Cracker Barrel's identical no matter where you go? I could swear Ive seen the same portrait in many a location outside of KY.

I always wondered where they got the old photos and farm implements and suspected that they're all fabricated and artificially aged out of some weird restaurant supply.

Neat story, indeed!

The story DOES NOT make any sense! First, the story says she saw her niece staring down at her. The story closes with the baby being here great-great-great grandmother and the woman holding the baby being the baby's mother, the great-great-great-great grandmother.

Hello? A niece is the daughter of your sister, folks! Also, WHY WOULD THE WOMAN SEND THE PHOTO TO HER SISTER-IN-LAW??? I smell a fraud! Or, someone doesn;t understand family relations!

I think the article's author meant the baby in the photo resembled her deceased niece? That's not much proof. You can see all kinds of things in photos, esp when under duress.

Also, yes, I realize a niece can be your brother's daughter, as well...
