At first glance this website may appear to be a hoax or a joke, but then again there are people like Harold Camping out there predicting doomsday. The Flat Earth Society which claims to support the theory that the Earth is flat and have gathered together literature to support their views. After some research it appears that The Flat Earth Society is a real group.
The modern age of the Flat Earth Society dates back to the early 1800s, when it was founded by Samuel Birley Rowbotham, an English inventor. Samuel Rowbotham's Flat Earth views were based largely on literal interpretation of Bible passages. His system, called Zetetic Astronomy, held that the earth is a flat disk centered at the North Pole and bounded along its southern edge by a wall of ice, with the sun, moon, planets, and stars only a few hundred miles above the surface of the earth.

Like most other things on the Internet, there's also trolls. But in this case, they see it as a means to practice debating something that's obviously not true. It's the ultimate challenge.

Maybe it is true, maybe all those images of the round earth were manipulated to appear as such, maybe it's all a conspiracy, maybe the earth is flat and they're trying to deny that fact due to some odd reason. . . maybe. . .

I wouldn't say that this is a theory, at least not a scientific theory. I'd say it's a notion, or a belief. Not trying to troll here... the word theory is already misunderstood and misused enough in regards to evolution.

Oh they're for real alright, as are the geocentrists who claim the Sun and universe revolves around the Earth. In my opinion, this is no more ridiculous than the far more popular creationism.

One thing I don't see on their site, and have sent an e-mail inquiring about. What is on the other side? Is it just rock? Have any species adapted to anti-gravity?
