If you ask me, this early representation of the Easter Bunny resembles a Lepus-like reindeer. It was drawn by a German schoolmaster who moved to Berks County, Pennsylvania, in 1757. If you want to see the art in person, Winterthur Museum in Winterthur, Delaware, is exhibiting the piece from now through Mother's Day, when it will be taken off of display for cleaning and preservation before it becomes a permanent part of their collection.
