Default Facebook Avatars - Neatorama

Paris-based photographer Thomas M. made a set of pictures showing people as the default Facebook profile image. He writes "The aim of this project is to humanize the Facebook default avatar provided at the first login." Mission accomplished.

I use something like a generic silhouette

Maybe you recognize it as the artwork of Alex Gray or as Album-art for the band Tool.

It's one thing to be represented by a silhouette. You might call it inhuman, but I would rather be represented by that by default than a picture of what appears to be a corpse!
