NYC Bus vs. Big Wheel

(video link)

New York comedian and filmmaker Mark Malkoff (who drinks a lot of coffee) wanted to illustrate how slow MTA buses are. So he raced against a bus while he rode ...a child's Big Wheel! The race went a mile down 42nd street. Can you guess who won? -Thanks, Mark!

Those of us from NYC will know how poorly edited that video was. First he's passing 9th ave, then 6th, then 7th, then 6th, then 5th, then all the way back to 7th before ending at Madison.

Still. not surprising at all that he won. Exactly why I never take the bus.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that this has nothing to do with the bus and everything to do with traffic. He should try this again at 3:00am when there's no traffic. I think the results *might* be a wee bit different.

Traffic being what it is in NY, I do have to agree that you're probably better off walking if you have decent shoes on!

That's not a Big Wheel. That's just a trike. BIG difference between an all plastic Big Wheel (like what was shown in the animation at the start) and the metal tricycle that he rode. FAIL. I demand a rematch.
