Well, it's Thursday, so it's time to clean out the cobra pit. Come'on, punch the timeclock and get to work. I'm not paying you to stand around all day.
I had a friend who would maintain the cobras at the Detroit zoo. They were cooled down at night so that they could not move fast enough to bite. Every morning they were drained of venom. They were also very well fed. All this made them relatively harmless.
Something tells me this is in an area where "Horrible conditions at the Cobra pit" isn't at the top of the list of worries people have.
