Popcorn Cake

It should better be called "Get Fat And Unhealthy Cake". Can anything in this thing even be called food?

I thought I had seen the last of that "cake" back in Girl Scouts in the late 70s.
I and other scouts were excited when one of us were talking about the cake that their mom was going to make for the next meeting. Think about the CAKE post from Allie's Hyperbole and a Half.

Were we ever disappointed to discover it was not CAKE. But a giant popcorn ball that was molded in a bunt pan.

Um, people....popcorn is a VEGETABLE. All hail the popcorn cake!!

Seriously, popcorn and pretzels are not unhealthy snacks, marshmallows are very low in fat, and so this is actually a much "healthier" sweet treat than many cookies or other options. And it's actually a glorified giant popcorn ball in a bundt cake form. Brilliant!

See 2a. Yup it's cake. I guess 3a would work too.

Why is everyone debating whether or not this is actual cake?! Who cares! It's food, it's shaped like a cake, and it looks phenomenal! I would love to try it!

I definitely wouldn't try it for the sole reason that it had the word "popcorn" before it. If I don't like popcorn on its own, I doubt I'd like it smothered with what looks like toothpaste. D:

(yes, I am aware that it is probably marshmallow. That does NOT make it okay!)

Corn is a grain but I'm pretty sure this isn't as unhealthy as chocolate cake with chocolate icing with chocolate fudge in the middle. Or something else that has about 1000 calories a slice. PHEW! It sounds like a bunt full of fun to me!
