Elevated Public Bench

Ah, public bench! The sight of the hustle bustle of the street ... the smell of car exhaust ... the cold breeze that freezes your nuts while you sit. What more could you ask of the humble public bench?

Israeli artist Itay Ohaly thought that the public bench could be much improved if only they were elevated. And with a little digital wizardry - presto! Behold the Elevated Bench:

the public benches are constructed at the top of spiral staircases that climb streetlight poles, providing a new perspective on the city streets, as well as a more private space for conversation
