Snow Present in 49 of the 50 U.S. States - Neatorama

Right now there is snow present in 49 of the 50 U.S. states:

After big snow and ice events in the Southeast, Plains, and Midwest this week, 49 out of the 50 states currently have snow on the ground – yes, even Hawaii, where snow falls in Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea all winter.

Thanks a lot, Florida. We almost had a perfect record. But you just had to go and be different, didn’t ya?

The snow in the picture is aallllmost touching the state line of Florida. Poor snow; it really wanted to get all up in there.

It did snow in Florida in December! There just isn't any currently on the ground. :P Don't worry, with the way it's been south of freezing so frequently this winter, we'll get snow as soon as we get some damn precipitation.

It's called high elevation. Hawai'i has tall mountains/volcanoes with snow on top.
