Michael Caine's Impersonation of Himself

(Video Link)

Here's actor Michael Caine on the ITV interview show Parkinson taking about impersonations and offering his own of a few actors, including himself as a GPS navigation computer voice.

Which actor would you like to have as your in-car navigator?

Olivia de Havilland as Melanie Hamilton in Gone with the Wind. I need her sweet, gentle demeanor to keep me from running idiots off the road...but then again, would feel guilty when I ignored her suggestions and she would say, "How unkind....renavigating...."

Gauldar,

I don't recall which one it was, but someone I know did in fact have John Cleese as their GPS voice. It was pretty funny, and I do believe was actually the man himself.

Well, it would depend on if they all read the same lines, or if it came with a bit of their personality as well.

Tom Waits could be fun, but he'd go off on some rambling anecdotes that I'm never sure if I should believe, and forget to tell me where to turn for the restaurant. But he says it's OK, he's got it, and then directs me to some seedy gin joint in the bad part of town, and says it's better anyway. Brian Blessed never uses his indoor voice, and always complains that we never go on adventures. In the end, I'd opt for Patrick Stewart for a touch of class and sophistication. And the occasional "Make it so!"
