As much as living in the pink house on the block might irk me, I too have seen a lot of these throughout Latin America and I must say it's much nicer to see than the cookie-cutter uniformity of some Canadian homes.

I love these. When I lived for a short while in 1965 in Guadalajara I noticed that most everyone's door was painted in a wild and lovely color combination! I never forgot that.

Obviously, the person who is reporting that the port in Curacao never bothered to walk one or two blocks away from that colorful part.

I had beers right under those parasols and really, there's not much else to the place when you leave that strip.

The other side of the island is complete poverty too.
