They could make some good money if they ever converted Alcatraz. But it is great to have as an historic site to visit...

It's not a hotel, but the Children's Museum (Musee de los Ninos) in San Jose, Costa Rica was an old prison too. It's painted a bright yellow now but the prison vibe is unmistakable, even though the exhibits inside are pretty awesome for kids.

Thanks for this wonderful post. I have also seen the link page. Wonderful images of hotels and interiors. Also this is a very good idea to convert prisons into hotels.
