Giant Clothespin Sculpture

Mehmet Ali Uysal, a professor of art at Middle East Technical University created this giant clothespin sculpture. It was built for the Festival of the Five Seasons in Chaudfontaine Park, which appears to be in a town on the outskirts of Liège, Belgium.

A clothespin standing up isn't nearly as cool as a clothespin showing us that Earth's demise has been exaggerated. If the old girl still has that much fat left to pinch, she's not going anywhere soon.

Very nice. Being from Philly I'm partial to Claes Oldenburg's Clothespin right near City Hall. See the two people embracing? And the spring makes the shapes of a 7 and 6. Pretty sweet.
