1:9 Scale Saturn 1B Rocket



Steve Eves is building a functional 1:9 scale Saturn 1B rocket. That was a type of rocket used in America's Apollo program. At the link, you can see an extensive gallery of process photos as Eves constructs the model.

I was at the 2010 Toledo radio control convention last April and they had the Steve Eves 1/10th-scale Saturn there. That thing was a MONSTER....

The Saturn 1B was used in the testing phase of Apollo to launch modules into orbit. The Saturn V was used for the actual moon trips.
