Rock Balancing as Art



Canadian photographer Peter Riedel balances rocks atop each other as art. It's not easy, and the results are fascinating. The precarious sculptures don't last long at the seashore, but are captured in photographs. Link

I like it very much. This is the way I think that reminds me of the oceans beauty. I really like the birds floating in the water behind it. I makes it look very real and not set up.

I will balance rocks when I go hiking, sometimes next to a trail, sometimes well off of the trail. I began doing it when I noticed others had done it before me, and thought it was cool enough to continue. It is fun when I'm exploring off trail and run into an interesting pile. Makes exploring the woods even more worthwhile.
