Pomparkour is supposedly a new "sport" that is described as parkour with ladders. This ad for a sports drink is raising eyebrows because it has no warning that these are professional stunt people and this should never be tried at home. In fact, we get a glimpse of how they did it in another video.
I broke out onto the roof of a 24 story building with some mountain climbing friends. They figured that they were only three rope lengths up, and started to do hand stands on the ledge.
Been there, seen that. Walked back and flirted with the women while they showed off for each other.
A warning? Because of course people are going to watch this and say "I feel like jumping over the edge of a building now and try to catch myself on a latter. The commercial doesn't say I shouldn't..." If people are that stupid....
My thoughts exactly Caleb. If people are too stupid to realize that "Hey! Maybe I SHOULDN'T try a death defying stunt in my backyard!" then even if that commercial did have a warning, it wouldn't stop them from doing it.
Hmmm, without that warning I am now convinced that this activity is completely safe for me and my kids to try. We will be buying a ladder from Home Depot this weekend and heading to the city to have fun on high buildings.
That's my home town, it's always a nice surprise to see something like this when you're living far from home (Canada).
When I was a kid some friends and I found a discarded library ladder and had fun hooking it in the rain gutters and sliding on the wheels
Been there, seen that. Walked back and flirted with the women while they showed off for each other.
