Carrots of a Different Color

Heirloom carrots still are multi-colored. Here's a for instance:

So many of the foods we have been lost in the last century or two. Thank God there are still purple and white carrot seeds out there to be had! (Also--I hear the taste puts store-bought carrots to shame!)

Anything you grow in good soil yourself far exceeds anything the market has to offer.

Also, look into any community-assisted agriculture in your area. Real veggies, straight from the farm.

Planted purple carrots one year. Have been planting them ever since.
It was part of a program for heirloom vegetables.
The taste of the purple and white carrots cannot be matched by "mega farm" carrots. These are sugary sweet.

I'm rooting for colored carrots!
