Heartless: The Story of the Tin Man

(Video Link)

Heartless: The Story of the Tin Man is the best short film I've ever seen. It's simply outstanding storytelling. Brandon McCormick took L. Frank Baum's backstory for the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz and told it in twenty-three minutes of film. The Tin Man was once a young man of flesh and blood, in love with a young maiden, until he lost both his humanity and his love.

So when he gets his heart back he becomes incredibly depressed at what he lost? A great idea and well done, but I prefer the idea he started off as a tin man and gained something.

@Bryan Irrera: Now I do look daft, I had no idea! (Obviously) I've never read the books, thank you for the insight.

I just looked him up on wiki and it really is a lot more complicated than I imagined. He finds his lost love and finds her married to old bits of him but at least he becomes an emperor.

Loved it. Really enjoyed the sets and costumes. Well done and I think we'll probably be seeing more of this Brandon McCormick in the future. He's very talented.
