Matthew Inman at The Oatmeal looks at what's annoying on the internet today, namely websites that serve the creator instead of the audience. This illustration represents a flash intro. Link
What I want to know is who appointed The Oatmeal as the Internet Mommy? I will offer some free advice.
Every browser in the world has a BACK button. If you don't like something use it. If a site annoys you don't go there. Can't get any easier.
BTW I agree with all the comments about having to log in to add a comment. Terrific way to gather Email addresses that can be sold to spammers. To my mind as annoying as some sites can be they are being run by people that can pretty much do what they want. It is their site after all.
It will all be a moot point soon when the Commie Obammies FCC takes over the Internet in the U.S. The fact that it's illegal is immaterial to the "chosen one."

Firefox + NoScript works pretty well also.
@Steve G.; Firefox + Adblock Plus.
Also; Greasemonkey scripts will fix anything else the web tries to throw at you ;)
